  2. Poet Kelly used to live in Castletown but he lives in Tyrrellspass at present.
    He is a big tall man between seventy and eighty years old. In the nights he goes rambling to houses. He writes some pieces of poetry and he talks a lot. He goes to Kilbeggan every fort-night for his old age pension. He has a young wife and two sons and a daughter. He is the only local living poet I know. Joe Kane's father who lived down the "bog road" in years gone by I heard was a country poet too.
