  1. There was a hurling match played between Galway and Limerick. It was played in Dungarven - It drew a a crowd of 45,000 to that place.
    The ball was thrown in by the Lord Mayor of Limerick. They were playing for a cup and a set of medals. The losers get a outain pen each. It was worth playing for. It ended in a draw.
    Limerick scored a point within a few minutes. Then the crowd saw some of the most thrilling hurling ever seen at Dungarven. It was as good as the All Ireland Final. Galway soon scored a goal. After some time Limerick scored a goal. There was a accident ten minutes before half time. J Scanlon Limerick was the victim of that accident. Play was resumed and Limerick scored a point. Galway scored a point and a goal in quick succession. Limerick scored a goal. The half
