  1. There was once a woman who fell out with her husband. His wife ran out and locked the door. She brought the key with her. Her husband ran up to the room and shouted out through the window. "Mary Mary come back to poor James and the kids"
    Next morning she came back she said "I am soory for having offended you." Soon the next morning a Guard came in and said "I hear you had a row with your husband yesterday morning. His wife denied the charge.
    She was brought to Court and charged with it. She was nearly collapsing in the witness box.
    She was fined two shillings and sixpence. She was bound to the peace
