- (continued from previous page)Church was openeed in 1877. Mrs. Murrays father of Coolatore, Rosemount, Moate was the first to be buried in it. His name was Daly.
The graveyard is composed of fox sand. The fox sand was dug up when they were digging the foundations of the church and put all round the church to raise the ground. The field round the church, called Moneen, is about four feet or five lower than the graveyard. The present church was built in 1845 - [-](continues on next page)
