   round the cow's necks and caught together with a hook.
   We have a mare and pony also which we call Kitty and Charley. They are out in the fields in the Summer and are put into a stable in the Winter time. They are never tied as there is a division between them in the stable.
   We keep pigs sometimes and when we are calling them to their food we say "Hurish, Hurish".

   They say here when cattle are dying on a farmer if a goat is put in amongst them unknown to him and he does not drive it out the luck will change. "As lucky as a goat among cattle" The Worm's Knot If a calf has a pain some one makes a certain kind of knot on twine called the worm's knot and leaves it on the animal's side. If worms are the cause that will cure him.
