- In the district of Correagh about a mile from the village of Mt. Temple there is a fort. It is situated south-west from the bye road between Mt Temple and Glasson.
I am told that long ago a chieftain lived in a castle there. There are five circular mounds of earth in this fort. Outside this forte there is a deep trench with several white-thorn bushes growing on the banks of this trench. Further out there are two square stone blocks and it is said that these blocks were used as piers.
There were soldiers in the castle to protect it. Soon the castle was captured and burned to the ground. The chieftain escaped by means of a long cave which runs(continues on next page)- Collector
