a house on their way to Egypt. Our lady asked for water to wash the Divine Child, and the woman of the house gave it to her. The woman's son, a baby, was a leper, and the poor woman was so struck with the beauty of Jesus, that she asked Mary for the water she had used, so that she could wash her own baby in it. This she did, and no sooner was the baby put into the water than it was cured of the disease. The story says that this same infant was the good thief, who repented on the cross.
Another story is told of the part played by the robin when Jesus was dying. The little bird tried to pull out the thorns from His Head, and in doing so a drop of Blood fell on his breast.
