One day St. Ciaran's mother was dyeing clothes. Ciaran came in and asked her what she was doing. She told him to run away and not to ask so many questions. The boy went away and said she would not be able to finish. The mother could not dye the clothes, try as she would, and in the end, she got Ciaran and told him. The boy prayed and after a little while, she was able to finish her work.
