    money. This custom is still observed in this locality, but in the case where the bridal couple go away on a honeymoon the band-boys wait until the pair arrive home to the groom's house.
    Another custom is to draw a rope across the road when the car conveying the bridal pair from church is approaching a convenient site. The groom scatter some silver to the waiting crowd and the car is them allowed to proceed.
    Many poor people, too, congregate at the church door, on the occasion of a marriage, and the groom is expected to have plenty of silver to distribute among them.
    The bride does not return to her parents' house until a month has elapsed. In the meantime the newly-weds have been feted and entertained by friends and relatives of both. At the end of the month they are brought to a big "spree" at the bride's former home. This is called- "The Dragging home"
