- Long ago some people were brought away by the good people. This happened in Terlicken to a man named Doudal. He was married just a week. When he and his bridge were preparing to go to a party and he had the car waiting. He called to his wife to come on. Getting no reply he went inside and found her dead. She was about a week buried and he was lamenting her. This night he was sitting at the fire and a voice out of the darkness said, "If you want me back come to the gap in the fort field at 11 o'clock. Stand at the gap, there will about fifty horses pass through. Be sure to catch the last horse by the bridle and if you have any objection to me living in this country I will go to America."
