We landed safe beside The Court*
And got around William Norton's fire
And as we came so far for sport
The ladies gave us our desire
But when we asked a single kiss
They frowned so grim and looked so wise Sir
Said I to Jim "fine fun is this"
And lo! the moon began to rise Sir
    6
Into the boat we popped again
    The bachelors were disappointed
For our passage safe we prayed amen
And how the ladies laughed and taunted
But oh! the moon had such a grace
And all the stars so bright above Sir
I looked on Miss Mc Grath's sweet face
And couldn't keep but fall in love Sir.
