    to let him go but the man succeeded in holding him. However the little man made a bargain with the farmer. He told him to go back to the farm for a spade and shovel when he would be out of sight of the other leprahauns he would plait together the bunch of rushes where the pot of gold was concealed. The farmer returned to the field where he left the Leprahaun and he found on his return that the whole field of rushes was plaited.
