    then they came to a huge boulder or flag of stone that blocked their path. At this time the men were only able to work singly in the passage. However on reaching the great stone which appeared to act as a door or cover for the entrance of a cell the man in front merely touched the stone when he became dull and stupid. He then fell asleep and breathed very heavily. The other men were unable to waken him so the only thing they could do was carry him out of the cave they had made and place him on the fresh air. Another man started to dig but when he reached the flag he too sank down into a heavy sleep same as the first man and he had to be carried out
