    next day to close it, and on arriving at the spot what did they find but a big granite flag covering the well. This flag is still to be seen on the top of Slieve Golry. The men then through fear closed in the quarry and made it level with the rest of the mountain and no one ever since dug for sand in that part of the mountain.
