    In '98, when Irishmen did muster one and all,
    And every true-born Irishman arose at freedom's call,
    Brave Robin Gill of Fardromin, he was the foremost man,
    who grasped his pike and swore to fight for faith & fatherland.

    He held a consultation with his comrades tried and true,
    Brave Prunty & McLoughlin to plan what they would do.
    "Now", Robin says, "My comrades brave, get ready quick & soon,
    And we will march to meet the French, they're coming on from Cloone."

    Crossed meadow, bog and pass,
