    Emblems and Objects of value
    3rd June, 1938.
    On Saint Brigid's Eve it is a custom to make crosses from straw and to put them up in the out houses.
    At Christmas the house is decorated with holly and ivy - the holly is put around on all the pictures and also on the windows.
    On May day green branches are hung outside the doors and decorated with May flowers to welcome the Summer. People get palm blessed on Palm Sunday and they put some of it in their own homes, they also put a piece down in the ground beside the crops
