    found themselves against a far
superior foe we made them do
    the "Turkey trot" across the
    homeland plain we gave the

Irish beer and drink a health

    Ill never forget Gallopile and
    the struggle we were in.
Written and composed by private Thomas O Rourke and his comrades who fought with the Leinsters in the Dardanelles
Transcribed by a member of our volunteer transcription project.
