  2. A Local Forge

    In the townland of Kilsallagh some years ago there was a forge situated on the side of the public road. The smith who owned this forge was Michael Gannon but the people in the neighbourhood called him "Mick the Smith" as a nickname. Every night this man left the door of the forge open and it was supposed that the people had heard horses being shod
