  2. The people in Ireland eat very coarse food. Potatoes were their principal food. Their meals were never taken at regular times. People often worked on until 12 o'clock in the day without having any breakfast. Potatoes and buttermilk was often their breakfast they had rough oaten porridge for dinner, milk was drunk but nearly always buttermilk. The table they used was placed on the centre of the floor.
