    McGlynns doors roll on a roller. The other door is a double door - one fire place in each forge. The bellows is very large and made off wood and leather. He uses an anvil, a sledge, a knife for pairing hoofs, a file, a hammer and horse nails. He shoes asses and horses, but there are very few cattle shod except a cow seldom. They can repair all farm machinery such as, spades, shovels, axes pikes even to the tongs or a pot or oven. When shoeing the horse he loosens the nails with a sharp iron instrument and a hammer. He then pulls the old shoes off with a pincers and throws it one side. He then reddens a piece of new iron in the fire until it is very red then he takes out and shapes it into a shoe on the anvil. When it is shaped he has already the horses hoof paired. He lifts the hot shoe to the foot then cools it in cold water and again burns the horses hoof, he dresses it off and clinches the nails he works before the open door.
