  1. Fairy Forts
    There are fairy forts in the school district. The fairy forts are known as the "Fairy Ring" the "Fairy Rath" and the "Fairy List" There is a fairy rath in the townsland of Garryduff in a field owned by Lawrence O Neill Garryduff. There is another in the adjoining district Ballykerogue in a field owned by James Howlin there are also fairy rings in this field, the mushrooms were growing around in a circle and all the grass inside the circle was withered. There is a fence of bushes and briars around each rath.
