- About three miles from Wexford there is a place known as Brennan's Hill.
It got its name because a man named Brennan used to live there. One night a man named John Crosbie was coming down this hill and he met an English Soldier. Where he met the soldier was a very lonely spot. The English soldier, when he saw nobody around fired a shot and killed the Irishman. He buried him in a field near by.- Collector
