    Weather Lore.
    1.When the sun looks red on rising
    the day will change and rain will
    follow
    2.A halo around the moon is a sign
    of a storm. The nearer the "ring"
    the further the storm
    3."Falling stars are signs of rain
    4. When seagulls fly inland a storm
    is near.
    5. When swallows fly high fine
    weather may be expected.
    6. When the cat sits with her back
    the fire rain is near.
    7. When poultry are seen picking
    themselves rain may be expected.
    8. When cattle are seen close
    together in a field grazing rain is
    near.
    9. In the summer time when the
    'midgets' are busy.
    10. If the roads dry too quickly after
    rains, more rain is sure to come.
    11. When 'springs' begin to dry - a
    sign that fine weather is near.
    12. If the smoke appears to be going
    towards the ground rain is near
