    A Story
    Long ago, there lived in Norway, a giant called Monover. At the same time, Finn MacCool lived in Ireland. The Norwegian giant had been hearing about Finns greatness for a long time, and as there was no giant in any other country that he had not beaten, he determined to set out for Ireland to see for himself. So he sent Finn word that he was coming. Finn told his wife the trouble he was in, and she at once thought of a plan. There was a large cradle in the house, and into this she put Finn. Shortly after, Monover came and asked for Finn, she replied that he was not at home. Then he asked, who was in the cradle, Finn's wife said that it was her son. Then he put down his hand to see what the baby was like and it it the top off his finger. "If the men in Ireland, are as wicked as the babies," said Monover, they are a terrible crowd. He then asked for something to eat. So while he was outside, Finn's wife placed a layer of dough on each side of the griddle
