- 99The MassThere was a poor man one time who had no place to stop at night. He was in the habit of staying in the Chapel all night for shelter. One night as he was staying there, he awoke about half past twelve and was surprised at seeing a Priest saying Mass on the Altar. The Priest beckoned to the man to come and serve Mass for him. The man did so because he had often done so before when he was a boy. When the Mass was over the Altar darkened and the Priest disappeared. The man stayed in the Chapel until morning as the doors were locked. In the morning when the Priest's boy came to open the door the man told him about the mass and asked him if it was the Priest of the Place who was(continues on next page)
