    About a mile from Enniscorthy on the Borodale demense is an old moate, at the foot of which flows the river Boro.
    In one place the river is deeper than the rest and here a box of gold is supposed to be hidden. A serpent is said to guard it. Many people say that if you look down on a bright Summer's day you can see the crock containing the gold.
