    Old Stories
    There were seven Cromwellians who used to make scrap for their guns in a field in Ballinakill. This field is in possession of Mr Latta. They used to make a great amount of noise as if a crusted or burned saucepan were being cleaned with a spoon, or a blacksmith at work. When they died they were buried in that field. Ever after this they say a noise cane be heard. First people rgought that tinkers were at work. But they soon found out what it was; it was the sound of the
