    Once upon a time there was a woman who had an evil eye, and any young creature she looked at fell dead instantly. There was a certain blacksmith and it was said if the harmed creature would be restored to life if it were plunged into the water which the black-smith used for cooling purposes. A woman had twenty-four young ducks, her name was Mrs O'Neill. The woman with the evil eye looked at the ducks and they fell dead instantly. Mrs O'Neill
