    Local cures
These are some of the cures that I heard from my neighbours and friends.
If you had toothache and put a frog in your mouth the toothache would go away.
If you had mumphs and drank asses milk you would be cured.
If a father and mother have the same name some of the children will have a cure.
A cure for mumps is to crawl between a young donkeys legs and drink her milk.
A cure for whooping cough is to go under a donkey's body three times and drink her milk.
When a father and mother have the same name before marriage the seventh son or daughter can cure sprains.
A cure for mumps is to put an ass's winkers on the sick person and lead him to the river for a drink.
