- One day a priest got a sick call to go that night. He was very fond of singing as he was going along the road on horseback.
All of a sudden he heard very sweet singing inside the ditch. He stopped and looked over, there was a hound and he was singing the sweetest songs he had ever heard. He half fell asleep listening to the sweet songs till near morning, it was then he remembered the sick call.
He spurred the horse on but when he got to the house the man was dead. The sweet singing of the hound was the temptation, and the hound was the devil.- Informant
