    A True Story
There was a man once who lived in the Chapel Lane named Mogue Kearns and he had a very short memory. He had a jennet that was so fond of rambling that Mogue had to fetter her.
One Winter's morning before daylight he yoked and set out for the fair. He noticed the jennet was walking very slowly, but he never minded that. Mogue was in the car all the time.
All went well till he reached half way where he met a man. This man stopped and said to Mogue
"That must be a very wicked animal you have."
"Not at all she's the quietest animal in the world, why do you say this" said Mogue
"Because you have her fettered while drawing the car."
