    The fire was then kindled and then the culm caught fire and burned the limestone on top of it.
    Horse and cars were not idle either, they were busy drawing the lime away from the eye of the Kiln.
    This lime was burned about January in order that it would be fit for sowing potatoes.
    From the people who tell use this folklore we hear the same thing from them all, and that is, that they often ate potatoes roasted on the lime-kiln.
