  1. The Wishing Hill
About two hundred yards from Ballycumber there is a hill called the "Wishing Hill". It situated on the Island road. It was formerly held in great awe by the inhabitants.
People who passed late at night are supposed to have head strange music coming from that particular hill. The old legend says that if a person slept a night on the Wishing Hill he would obtain anything he desired. Most of the old superstitious legends about the hill have passed but it still bears the name. Old residents still believe it's strange story.
