   Then she said she did not want to let him go if he didn't give her back the dolls and also a couple of crocks of gold. He then struck a rock with a fairy wand, and a little door opened and there lay the dolls and a great many crock of gold. He gave them a crock of gold each as well as their dolls and they ran home to their mama in great delight and lived happy ever afterwards.

   3. Long ago there was a girl living with her father by the sea-side and her mother was dead. Her father was a fisherman, and he often spent nights trying to catch fish for the support of himself and his child. The little girl kept the cottage very clean and tidy always, because her father liked his home look nice.
   She loved her father very much and no wonder she thus tried to please him. One night the wind began to blow in fearful gusto. The snow that fell during the day was whirled high from the ground in some places. Her father hearing the huge waves beating against the rocks near the cottage looked where he just caught sight of a huge ship struggling against the waves.
