- A man lived near Ferbane a few years ago. He heard there was a crock of gold near his house.
It was at the edge of a grove of trees. One night he went to dig for the gold.
When he came to the place where gold was supposed to be hidden he started digging, and after two hours hard work he found a nest of foxes.
He took one of them up in his hand to see what it was. It bit his hand. So he ran home as hard as he could, leaving his spade beside the foxes' den.- Collector
