- In the parish of Clonmacnoise there is a house in which the household after eating porridge at night, leave a big plate of porridge, with seven mugs and seven spoons for the fairies. During the night the fairies come and eat the porridge and milk.
Then they leave something which looks like porridge and milk.
In the morning the people bury it in the dunghill. That is done to the present day.
At one time the fairies took a woman away to the hills with them. She was brought by the fairies to the house where they leave the porridge, but she would not eat it, so they let her go
While she was away, the fairies left another woman in her place, but she went away(continues on next page)- Collector
