    The butter is put back and beaten up and salt is put in. When the people start the churning they say: "God bless it". That means that you will have a good lot of butter and also that you will not be long at it.
    When you are making bread you use the buttermilk. Long ago the people used the buttermilk at their supper when the ate stirabout.
