  1. The townland of Caramanagh is in barony of Cloghan-castle. It is a mile and a half from the Church. There are four families in Caramanagh there are eighteen people in it. The oldest man in the townland is Mr Tom Sullivan, he is seventy eight years of age he knows some words of Irish. This land is rich and fertile. There are no common names in it they are all different the names are Coughlan, Glynn, Gibbons, and Sullivan.
