  1. Fairy Forts
    Outside the town of Birr there is a district called Killeen. In this district there is a fort. It is almost round in shape, and is surrounded by trees and is overrun with weeds.
    There is nothing of much importance attached to it except that Brian Borcumha is supposed to have fought a battle there. It is supposed to be an old Danish fort and is supposed to have been well fortified hundreds of years ago.
