    When September comes the potatoes are all dug out and they are stored.They are put on lofts or in pits.The potatoes are put into long rows in the pits and covered with straw.The pits are in the fields.

  2. We sow an acre of potatoes every year.Early in the year the ground is ploughed. The ground is not manured.The potatoes are put in square ridges: they are covered in with clay. Farmers help one another. The potatoes are stored for the Winter.
