This is a song about Tottenham's Demense which was composed about seventy years ago...

    (continued from previous page)
And he who dared to cut a turf and he make a report,
And we will mark a pass for him when once he is in the court,
Each bog had its ambassador no matter where it lay.
From Curragh Cravy famous rock to the quarry of Killae.
From Tull na Clyde to Bully Boy and the bogs that lay between.
Like wise the bogs of Daragoon, Strawduffy, and Drumkeel.
    II
The turf was cut they knew not how some say it was by machine.
Although those boys they kept their eye both constant sharp and keen.
And if an object came in view and it was but a frog
Next day a summons was issued to the owner of the bog
They summoned young, they summoned old, they summoned great and small
And worse than that they summoned those who cut no turf at all,
And if you were out waling while those party were in view
