    It was then the court was opened and the first man got his call.
    It was bold undaunted Lawrence Flynn from near Glenfarne Hall.
    They asked him if he cut the turf and he answered without fail
    From which they found him guilty and condemned him to the jail.
    The next and the next they met with the same fate.
    The prosecutors doing their best with vile and deadly hate,
    But then and there to their expense a cheer came forth from all
    When a dismiss was granted to those who cut no turf a tall
