- About a a mile from Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim there is a graveyard called Oughteraugh.
On the 1st February (St. Brigid's feast day) a large number of people from this locality go to the graveyard and make '' stations '' at it. There is a stone in the graveyard with the impression of St. Brigid's knees on it, where she knelt praying. There is
another stone in the graveyard also and it is in the shape of St. Brigid's head and shoulders.There is a well in a field about three hundred yards from the graveyard and people who make '' stations '' there, usually bring a bottle of water home from it in honour of St. Brigid.
