- There is a holy well in the parish of Castletara. I don't know what townland it is in.
It is in Mr Randal McCollums field. It was not found until visitors came. They came a few years ago. People make visits at any time of the year. People make visits and say prayers. I don't know what prayers they say.
There was never any story connected with any saint.
A sick person drinks the water for ten days. It is belived that any sore can be cured by rubbing water out of the holy well to it. People leave nothing as offring.
Nobody ever tried to do any harm to the well. There is a row of trees round it. There are no fish in it.- Collector
