  1. In my school district there are the ruins of an old ruined castle. It is in the townland of Tunnymore and in the county of Cavan.
It is said it was owned by the O’Reillys of Breffni and that it was there they came after the battle of Finea. The castle is situated on a small bank with level land around it. The castle is now in ruins and all that remains of it are the thick walls, and a stone stairs leading up to another storey but which is now covered with moss. and grass. It is supposed to have been built with dragon’s blood.
Another old ruin is a castle in Belville. It is built on the top of a high rock. It is said that it is built with oxen’s blood.
