- There lived in my locality some time ago a leipreachan. He used to live in a field where there was a lone bush. Beside this bush there was a round rock which used to be his bench for working on. There is a nooke in the rock where he used to keep his tools. His most important occupation was shoemaking but he also worked at carpentry.
A man named Smyth tried to catch him but the leipreachan gave him a fright and disappeared.
The man then went to look at his tools but they also disappeared into the rock.
Some time after that the man missed his turf. He went to this field where he thought he saw a rick of turf, but when he came near to it it was a large bush(continues on next page)- Collector
