- Folklore-Local Cures.
There used to be plants and herbs long ago which the people used to be cured. There was one little green leaf plant that they used to call the planting leaf. When it was warmed and cream put on a cut, it used to heal it.
Another cure was red nettles boiled and strained and sweetened for the children to cure the measles.
Another was fox-tree leaves boiled and strained and the water thickened with meal was used as a poul-(continues on next page)- Collector
