  1. (continued from previous page)
And true hearts were near me
    To share all my joys
    Which were then fair enough.
    But where are they now
    Their places are vacant
    And their voices are missed
    Around Fair Rosduff.
    Farewell dear old Erin
    I won't say for ever
    For deep in my heart
    A fond hopeling is still
    That one day or other
I'll gaze on your visageAnd watch the moon rise
    O'er distant Bruce Hill
    Though glad is the place
    And still joyous they welcome
    My heart shall be sad
    And still lonely enough
    For many a loved one
Who once roamed there with me
    Shall never again stand
    In Far Fair Rosduff.
