    check and I swung him high over my head. There was a pigeon hatching her eggs in a nest in a tree over my head. The pike struck her and she fell down dead at my feet. My strength was then exhausted and I fell down on the broad of my back on a whin bush. There happened to be a hare lying in her lair in the whin bush and I killed her dead. So home goes I with my perch, my pike, my pigeon and my hare.
