    the cask of poteen. While they were dragging they pulled up an old boat. When they examined it they saw this inscription on it. "Friar McKiernan of the Monastery of Enaughan".
    The Rosduff Castle and the Enaughan Castle belonged to the same people. The avenue to the Enaughan Castle was from Francie Masterson's gate on the Lisoarty old road straight down to the castle. An old woman who lived in Enaughan about forty years ago named Mrs. Masterson said she often heard her grandmother say that she was at a wedding at the castle. All the people for miles around were at the wedding. She also heard her say that the avenue was covered with Irish linen for the
